Mariana Teixeira

Mariana Teixeira is a third-year Law student at NOVA School of Law. Her main areas of interest lie at the intersection of International Law, Technology, and Human Rights, with a particular focus on Space Law, Artificial Intelligence regulation, women’s rights, and mental health governance.

She is the Founder and former President of NOVA Model United Nations (NOVA MUN). In 2025, she participated in the UNGA80 High-Level Week in New York, contributing to dialogues on global health and gender equality. That same year, she earned an Honorable Mention at MEDMUN (Sciences Po) and served as a Speaker at IV Ágora 2024, addressing youth participation in governance.

She attended the Summer at CGA: Critical Issues and Careers in Global Affairs program at New York University (NYU SPS) and completed additional certifications, including UN Women’s “I Know Gender 1-2-3” and “Introduction to Sustainability in usiness” at Católica-Lisbon. Mariana is a Youth Member of the United Nations Association Portugal (UNA Portugal), a member of the Women in Tech Network, and has taken part in volunteering initiatives in Portugal, Costa Rica, and Thailand.
