Joana Guerra

Joana Guerra has a Master Degree in Legal-Political Sciences with specialisation in Planning, Urbanism and Environmental Law from the University of Coimbra Law School. Her dissertation focuses on International Space Law, with the topic Desafios e Questões Emergentes de um Ramo em Ascensão (Law of Outer Space – Challenges and Emerging Issues of a Rising Field).

In 2017 she did an Erasmus+ Internship at the European Space Agency’s Headquarters in Paris, as part of her Master’s research period, where she also colaborated with the activities of the Office for Sustainable Development Coordination.

She attended the Workshop “Space Start-Ups: Direito e Prática” (Space Start-Ups: Law and Practice), organised by SPARC and Instituto Pedro Nunes (15 May 2019) and the 1st edition of SPARC’s Space Law Course, which took place at NOVA School of Law from 25 September to 3 October 2019.

Currently, she is doing her Portuguese Bar Association internship, where she has acquired skills in different areas such as Migration Law, Administrative Offences Law and Environmental Law.
